Overview

The Inventory/Assets system in Arctyk ITSM provides IT asset tracking and management capabilities. Track hardware, software licenses, equipment, and other IT resources.


Key Features

Asset Management

  • Create and track IT assets
  • Associate assets with tickets

Asset Fields

  • name - Asset name/identifier (required)
  • asset_type - Type of asset (hardware, software, etc.)
  • serial_number - Serial number or license key
  • status - Current status (active, retired, maintenance)
  • location - Physical or logical location
  • assigned_to - User assignment
  • purchase_date - Acquisition date
  • warranty_expiry - Warranty end date

Usage

Creating an Asset

  1. Navigate to Inventory section
  2. Click "Add Asset"
  3. Fill in asset details
  4. Save asset

Associating with Tickets

  • Link assets to tickets for issue tracking
  • View all tickets related to an asset
  • Track asset-related incidents and requests

Bulk Import

  • Import assets from CSV
  • Bulk update asset information
  • Export asset inventory reports
